Asters are a popular daisy-like flower that has grown wild since ancient times. They get their name from the Greek word "astron", which means star, a perfect name with all of their delicate star-shaped petals! They come in a variety of colours which represent patience, love of variety, elegance and daintiness. The flowers were for my best friend and I only got a picture of them and did not see them myself. The picture she sent me looks like they are very nice and she said they were beautiful.
